Lichfield, a gastronomic city with a multitude of offerings, has garnered recognition as one of the finest destinations in the UK for food enthusiasts, as revealed by a recent study. With the distinction of housing three restaurants featured in the revered Michelin guide, including Staffordshire’s first Michelin-starred establishment, Lichfield truly exemplifies excellence in dining. Having spent the majority of my life in this captivating city, I have curated a guide that showcases my personal favorite establishments and hidden culinary treasures.
Located on Curborough Farm Countryside Centre, Thyme Kitchen is my number one spot to grab breakfast and brunch in Lichfield. Set in peaceful surrounding you can enjoy some breakfast classics, as well as inventive dishes that all use local ingredients.
This cute wooden cafe is located within the grounds of The Plant Pot garden centre serves a cracking breakfast that’s hard to beat. Their freshly made cakes and scones are to die for!

Pom’s is one of Lichfield’s best loved brunch spots, serving breakfast and brunch until 4pm each day. Their food is not only delicious but they strive to use locally sourced ingredients of the finest quality, so expect to see Packington pork on the menu or locally sourced eggs.
City Corner Cafe has been opened since 2018, serving high quality food at a decent price. Their breakfasts are one of my favourites and the service is always top notch. The cafe also hosts a beautiful mural of Lichfield on the wall, remaking you of the wonderful city you’re in.
This cosy family run cafe serves breakfast and lunch dishes that you won’t find elsewhere, like their famous toad in the hole breakfast! If you fancy a unique twist on breakfast it’s well worth a visit.
This charming old building is just a stones throw away from Lichfield Cathedral and offers some of the best breakfast and lunch deals in Lichfield! You can regularly get offers such as two full English breakfast for £10, or 2 soups served with 2 lots of sandwiches for £10 also. You get a lot for your money here and the food is lovely!
With its quirky interior and homely vibes Faro Lounge is the perfect spot for breakfast and brunch. They have an extensive menu including great vegan and gluten free options. There freshly squeezed orange juice is one of my favourite drinks!
This quaint cafe, with a garden and courtyard is located near Lichfield Cathedral. They offer an array of breakfast, lunch and brunch dishes, as well as afternoon tea. They also pride themselves on serving exquisite, locally sourced specialty coffee, making it an ideal destination to savor your cup of choice.

Upstairs by Tom Shepherd is the jewel in Lichfield’s crown, becoming the first Michelin starred restaurant in all of Staffordshire. Run by an incredibly talented team with Tom at the helm, this restaurant offers delectable dishes using the finest quality ingredients. You certainly won’t find food this good anywhere in Staffordshire for the same price!

The Products
After an extensive consultation with Dr Parveen she prescribed me the complexion clearing programme, as well as additional products to combat my fine lines. The complexion clearing programme is targeting at treating blemish prone skin, featuring ingredients to minimise surface oil and exfoliate dead skin cells. The range consisted of –

Zo Skin Health complexion clearing mask
The exfoliating cleanser has a very gentle exfoliating texture and is very creamy on the skin. It rids the skin of dirt and surface oil, unclogs pores with gentle exfoliation and soothes irritated skin. The product contains jojoba esters which exfoliates and provides hydration, as well as encapsulated vitamin E that acts as an antioxidant. Small quantities of salicylic acid are also found within the product to help unclog pores.
The exfoliating polish is a magnesium crystal based exfoliating product which is to be used 2-3 times a week. The ultra fine magnesium crystals instantly polish the skin removing dead skin cells and help to restore smoother texture. For extra antioxidant effect it also contains vitamin A, C and E.
The complexion clearing masque is a natural clay based mask that purifies the skin and absorbs access oils that lead to breakouts. The mask contains sulphur which actively treats acne by reducing sebum and calming irritation. Kaolin and bentonite within the mask absorb surface oils and help to clean out pores, reducing the appearance of blackheads. The mask also contains glycerine which helps to restore the skins natural barrier function to keep it in top condition.
The complexion renew pads are moistened dual action exfoliating pads which remove dead skin cells and reduce oil to prevent clogged pores. They also act to sooth skin and reduce irritation. They contain glycolic acid which acts as a chemical epidermal exfoliant, salicylic acid which is a beta hydroxy acid that unclogs pores and botanical extracts to help to sooth the skin.
To treat my under eye fine line wrinkles, Dr Parveen also prescribed me the Zo Skin Health intense eye créme. This contains retinol to encourage collagen production as well as skin cell turnover, mica and titanium dioxide which acts as an optical diffuser to reduce the appearance of fine lines, and vitamin E to act as a powerful antioxidant. The product also contains matrixyl 3000, which are peptides that work to promote the skins elasticity and collagen production. MDI complex is also added, which is a marine glycosaminoglycan that restores hydration and inhibits collagen breakdown.

Rochers Patisserie is an artisan patisserie in Sutton Coldfield ran by highly skilled pastry chef Howing, who has previously worked in Michelin star restaurants and 5* hotels. For Mother’s Day Rochers Patisserie are offering a standard and a vegetarian afternoon tea both priced at £25 per person.
